King's Corner
The Town of Waxhaw is experiencing an influx of young families, first-time home buyers, and "downsizers". To accommodate this growth, several residential projects are being developed - especially near the Town's central core. In support of these new residents, Jones Civil Design provided site / civil engineering on this project to create six single-family Lots for some cozy, two-story homes. As part of this project, Jones Civil Design developed a grading plan that would require limited disturbance to preserve the surrounding, natural landscape. Also, this project included the design of road improvements for the neighboring streets as well as sidewalk connectivity for future development along with stormwater improvements to reduce flooding in this area. This project also involved the design of two, small lift stations for the homes that would, otherwise, not be served by any sanitary collection system. This development provided value for the community and home-sweet-home for six, lucky residents.
